A Life in Art and Creativity

Born and raised in the heart of the Cotswolds, Christopher Geary has been a community mainstay for over 50 years. His journey into the world of art began as a boy, finding solace and expression in drawing during difficult times of bullying. Those formative years not only shaped his passion but also his resilience, carving out a path that would lead to a remarkable artistic journey.

In his early years as an artist, Chris made his mark designing heavy metal artworks. This success propelled him into illustration, where he debuted in Hallowscream’s Black Damp and his creation Terribly Bad Monsters, earning a reputation for his distinctive style. His creative storytelling flourished with Durgo Bann, an alien detective comic strip, and Memorial, a poignant World War I anthology.

In 2021, Chris launched a series of colouring books for children, blending whimsy with his signature style. Alongside his visual work, he published The Tide of Life, a poetry collection brimming with heartfelt reflections and wry humour, showcasing another dimension of his artistic voice.

A true creative entrepreneur, Chris has expanded his talents into a diverse range of merchandise. Prints of his original artworks are also available for purchase.

Whether through his art, poetry, or community contributions, Chris Geary embodies the vibrant spirit of the Cotswolds, enriching the area with his creativity, humour, and enduring passion for the arts. He is open to commissions and original artworks are available here.
